Yoldance

YOLENA ALONSO stands out in the current landscape of dance as prestigious choreographer and artistic director. He graduated at the Academy of Maestro Narciso Medina of Havana, whose dance company began his professional life, standing out as a solo dancer, teacher and choreographer. In 1999 he created the company Yoldance, his works show an absolutely personal choreographic style, with influences of musical theater and jazz. Under Yolena Alonso signing , the company has displayed a repertoire of more than 200 choreographies, and is immersed in a world cubanía constant exchange and experimentation, the key original style that distinguishes them. His works attest to the talent of this Cuban artist who dreams, creates and lives to “… promote dance as an important form of culture that contributes to human development.”
